Fintech & Financial Infrastructure grants
Innovate UK and UKRI funding for RegTech, payments, open finance and AI in financial services
Financial services innovation is fundable when it is framed as R&D with a technical unknown, not as a product launch. RegTech, AI-driven compliance, open finance infrastructure and financial inclusion tools can all win Innovate UK and UKRI support if the case is built around a defensible innovation and a clear route to adoption by regulated firms.

Open to consortia (not single applicants) of legal entities established in EU Member States, Iceland, Norway, and specific associated countries (Canada, Israel, Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Switzerland, UK); user-industry companies from the targeted strategic sector (healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or autonomous driving) must be core consortium partners. Horizon Europe
[Horizon Europe - DIGITAL] CL4-2027-04 Energy-efficient AI Data Centres
This is a demonstration-heavy, industrially oriented grant for mature technologies that can materially reduce the energy and environmental impact of AI data centres. The Commission wants practical pilots, not conceptual studies: cooling, power backup, AI-aware operations, waste-heat reuse and energy-system integration all need to be shown in credible real-world settings. The most competitive bids will probably present a full-stack story: chip/module thermal management + data-centre operations optimisation + energy/waste-heat integration + validated industrial use cases. A good proposal should…
Horizon Europe
[Horizon - Civil Security for Society] Prevention and mitigation of misuse of synthetic biology for bioterrorism purposes
Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action (HORIZON-CL3-2026-01-FCT-06). Applicants must be legal entities established in the eligible countries described in Annex B of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes; consortium and other participation rules also follow General Annex B. Projects using satellite-based earth observation, positioning, navigation or timing data must use Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS.
