Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data GrantUp collects through grantup.co.uk, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated July 28, 2026.
GrantUp ("GrantUp", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales. We provide grant funding consultancy to UK and European innovators, and we are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy applies to this website and to enquiries you send us through it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a consultation, email us, or submit a form, we collect the details you provide: name, company, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your technology, funding stage and grant plans.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers record technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page and approximate location.
Information we do not collect here. The eligibility checker on this site runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not transmitted to us or stored unless you choose to contact us separately.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and hold the consultation you requested.
- To assess whether your project is a fit for the grant programmes we work on.
- To deliver our services and administer the resulting client relationship.
- To send service updates and, where you have agreed, relevant funding deadlines.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for behavioural advertising.
Confidentiality of your technical information
Grant applications involve unpublished science and commercially sensitive plans. We treat everything you share about your technology as confidential, we limit access to the consultants working on your project, and we are happy to sign your NDA before any detailed discussion.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, for example our website host, email provider, scheduling platform and accounting system, and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
GrantUp is part of the GrantUp group. Where a member of the wider group supports delivery of your project, your information may be shared within the group under the same confidentiality standards, including where a group company operates outside the UK, in which case we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, plus analytics cookies that tell us which pages are useful. Our booking widget is provided by a third party and may set its own cookies when you interact with it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential parts of the site will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to follow up and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client records are retained for the duration of the engagement and then for as long as required for legal, tax and audit purposes. After that we delete or anonymise the information.
Security
We use reputable providers and apply access controls, encryption in transit and need-to-know internal access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us. Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To make a request, email hello@grantup.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
Children
This site is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@grantup.co.uk .
