Panta is a UK FinTech company developing the world's first Index Operating System (IOS), a cloud-native Software-as-a-Service platform designed to modernise how financial indices are created, managed and distributed. By replacing fragmented legacy processes with an integrated platform, Panta aims to reduce index creation from months to days, significantly lowering costs while enabling greater innovation across the financial services industry.
As the business prepared to commercialise its technology, it required substantial investment to accelerate product development and bring its platform to market. Rather than relying solely on private investment, Panta wanted to secure non-dilutive funding that would preserve shareholder equity while supporting ambitious growth plans.
GrantUp identified the Innovate UK Innovation Loan as the most suitable funding route, recognising that Panta's mature technology, strong commercial opportunity and clear route to market aligned closely with the programme's objectives. Our consultants developed a comprehensive funding strategy before leading the application from start to finish.
We worked closely with the leadership team to strengthen the innovation narrative, refine the commercial proposition, challenge technical assumptions, improve project scope and develop a robust repayment strategy. Alongside proposal development, we prepared detailed financial forecasts, project milestones, work packages and supporting documentation, ensuring every aspect of the application addressed Innovate UK's rigorous assessment criteria.
Following a successful application, Panta secured a £1.5 million Innovate UK Innovation Loan, providing the capital needed to accelerate commercial deployment of its next-generation Index Operating System while avoiding unnecessary equity dilution. The funding has positioned the business to scale more rapidly, strengthen its market position and transform how financial indices are developed across the global investment industry.
